The STU FEI activities cover many of the IST Programme strategic objectives (MANVIS - SSA, FP6-2002-IST-NMP-1; INTELCITIES - IP, FP6-2002-IST) and also other FP6 areas (AIMs - IP, FP6-2002-NMP-1; BIOCELSOL - STREP, FP6-2002-NMP-1; NEPTUNO – CA). The work specified in the MINOS-EURONET project would be carried out mainly by the staff members of the Department of Microelectronics (18 teachers, 22 researchers and 18 "internal" PhD students), which closely cooperates with 3 institutes of the Slovak Academy of Sciences, the silicon foundries and a few SMEs. The Department of Microelectronics was/is active in general IST specific support actions, participating in the EU funded projects, and was/is involved in FP5 projects. The team to be involved in MINOS-EURONET is experienced in R&D cooperation, education and training also of industrial staff as well as in organising of events like international conferences and brokerage events etc. due to active participation in projects.
