IPC, besides the classical research, was coordinating the CEC NoE on Artificial Olfactory Sensing and is actually coordinating the thematic network NOSE II’ with the same topic and the GOSPEL FP6 NoE “General Olfaction and Sensing Project on a European Level”.

The approach of GOSPEL consists in bringing together a consortium of first class research groups; integrate them into centres of excellence able to execute its program of research activities. In a joint action between GOSPEL and MINOS-EURONET the area of artificial olfaction, gas sensor microsystems and the subsequent data analysis will be covered. By landscaping activity in the East, information about Industrial and Societal Needs and State of the Art in the field in the screened NMS and ACC will be gathered.

Workshops and courses as organized by GOSPEL around the topic of artificial olfaction will offer members and associates of MINOS-EURONET possibilities for participation. In order to propagate the objectives, goals, and more generally all the GOSPEL relevant information, the MINOS-EURONET WebPages will be linked on the GOSPEL server and vice versa. All the knowledge gained so far will be used for the kick off and implementation of MINOS-EURONET.
